I saw that commercial the other night in my hotel room in Victoria, BC. Both Meggan and I started laughing because we had seen it here first. Awesome.

Scott Lucey, you could be the best thing ever...

I've been playing with three different stir methods. No favorites yet. Right now, I've starting with the coffee in the chamber, stirring as it fills to saturate, but not too much, then stirring one more time as I remove the heat source. My downfall right now, is that I only have the spirit lamp... I need to order a butane buddy... Once I have a bit more experience, I'm sure I'll have something to throw out to the community.

Play around with stir method. Do you think you get a better cup w/ a non-circular stir? That's also assuming you're not adding the coffee until everything is up north, also assuming you're adding one final stir before the draw down.
Maybe it'd be best to contribute to the vac-pot thread on coffeed.

I've recently gotten the Hario TCA3, and will surely say it's making me the best coffee at home I've ever made.
Best thing ever.

thank you for the kind words sir. As these events go it is hard to actually get the time to sit down for good conversations with specific people, you more so just have to grab moments when they are there. I regret not getting a little time to talk but still want to return the sentiment, its good to be wearing the same jersy as all you fine folks in LA and I am know the other peeps feel the same way. Chicago is nice in summer, you should try and check it out, I'll fix you a drink when you get here.

Thanks for the updates, Ryan. Hope you found some calm in the midst of the storm. Do your best today - present your coffee in a way only you know how.

fuk dood. If its any consolation, after dropping you guys at the airport, I missed my exit off the 105 and ended up lost in Compton looking for a gas station to replenish my empty tank. Got refueled at a place that offered only one grade of gas (not that I ever get high octane, but y'know) in just enough time to get stuck in rush hour traffic.
